(THE SPIRIT OF ELIJAH)
Elijah was one of the most well-known and authoritative postmen of God. A postman of God is a divine messenger, chosen and prepared directly by the Most High. A postman of God represents the voice of God to man. For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants, the postmen (see Amos 3:7).
John the Baptist, Jesus’ cousin, who began his mission shortly before the Messiah’s, actually preparing the way for Him, was a postman of God. But according to my pole star he was not only a postman, he was inspired and equipped with the “spirit and power of Elijah” (see Luke 1:17).
In the last days, before Jesus’ return, according to another postman of God (see Malachi 4:5-6), the “Spirit of Elijah” will return once more. This Spirit will not be a soft, politically-correct, calming spirit. Absolutely not! On the contrary, it will be, for the third time in the history of humanity, a Spirit of strength, audacity and extreme clarity. A pounding, irritating voice for all those who will have adapted to the Matrixian spiritual chamomile, submitting as a matter of fact to the rebellious spirit of its prince. A disagreeable, uncontrollable, untouchable voice. No one (not even the most poisonous, fatal bullets of the Matrix) will be able to block the divine mission entrusted to this voice, arisen from nowhere, of one crying in the spiritual desert represented by the Matrix, the postmodern Babylon of my times.
Jesus tells me: “Behold, I stand at the door of your heart knocking: if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and dine with you and you with me” (see Revelation 3:20). This is definitively the voice of Jesus Himself, who, through His postman equipped with the same Spirit of Elijah and of John the Baptist, is rising again. It is up to me to accept this divine voice as saving, or to label it as heavy, pounding, unpleasant and distressing. But I must remember that the stakes are very high: it’s about my immortality promised to me by my Creator many years ago. That is why the knocking at the door of my heart by Jesus, who loves me with a perfect love, is not at all calm, but pounding and frenetic.
And not listening to the voice of God and His postmen means opposing my own Creator, the only source of life. Indeed, my pole star confirms to me: “Believe in the Creator God and you will be safe; believe in His postmen and you will triumph!” (see 2 Chronicles 20:20b).
