“Behold, I send my messenger, which will pave the way before me:
and suddenly the Lord you are seeking, the Angel of the covenant, whom you desire,
will come to His temple. Here He comes”, says the LORD of hosts.
Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when He appears?
For he is like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and purify the sons of Levi and will refine them as gold and silver;
then they will bring offerings unto the LORD in righteousness. (See Malachi 3: 1-3)
“Remember the law of Moses, my servant, decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet, before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
And He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and strike the land with a curse.” (See Malachi 4: 4-6)
