As the Bible points out to me, at crucial moments in history God chooses special messengers (prophets) to deliver a message to His people. In between these particular moments there have always been periods of prophetic silence which have sometimes even lasted centuries. For example, the prophet Zechariah broke a period of prophetic silence of around 400 years.

It was another messenger of God (prophet) moved by the Spirit of prophecy who wrote, “By a prophet (Moses), God brought Israel out of Egypt” (see Hosea 12:13, first part)

Although today God speaks to each one of us through His Holy Spirit, there is still to be a new, definitive breaking of the prophetic silence. Yes, you heard right. Just before the second coming of God the Son (Jesus), God the Father will send His Spirit of prophecy again, exactly as He did with the prophet John the Baptist just before the first coming. And just as God’s people (Israel) were freed from Egyptian slavery through a prophet, soon God’s people (the remnant) will be freed from Matrixian slavery through a prophet. This is the promise with which the Old Testament ends (Malachi 4:5).

“Believe in the Lord your God and you will be safe; believe in His prophets and you will prosper!” (2 Chronicles 20:20b)
