God the Creator speaks:
“I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have made this oath to my last servant:
I will establish your offspring forever, and I will build your throne for every age.
I have given help to a valiant man; I have raised up a chosen one from among the people.
I have found my last servant; I have anointed him with my holy oil;
My hand shall be firm in supporting him, and my arm shall strengthen him.
The enemy shall not surprise him, and the wicked shall not oppress him.
I will flush out before him his enemies, and I will defeat those who hate him.
My faithfulness and my kindness shall be with him, and in my name his power shall be exalted.
And I will stretch out his hand over the sea, and his right hand over the rivers.
And he shall call upon me, saying, Thou art my Father, and my God, and the rock of my salvation.
I will also make him the firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth.
I will preserve my good pleasure unto him for ever: and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
I will make his seed eternal, and his throne like the days of heaven.
One thing I have sworn by my holiness, and I will not lie to my last servant:
His seed shall endure forever, and his throne shall be before me like the sun,
shall be as stable for ever as the moon; and the witness that is in heaven is faithful.”
