The Creator God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and rich in kindness.

He will not always accuse, nor keep his anger forever.

He doesn’t treat me as my mistakes deserve, and does not punish me in proportion to my faults.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his goodness to me and all those who fear Him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed my transgressions from me.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Creator has compassion on the creatures who fear him.

For He knows how I am formed; He remembers that I am dust.

As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; if the wind blows over it, it no longer exists and the place is no longer recognized.

But from everlasting to everlasting is my Dad’s love for me and all those who fear him, and his righteousness is with their children’s children, for those who keep his covenant and reveal a character that reflects God’s face.
