These are the words of the Holy One, the Truthful, the LORD, God of hosts: He who holds the key of David, he who opens and no one can close, who closes and no one can open. He proclaims:
“Go and find my son, entrusted with an honorific and sacred role in my divine celestial court, bearer of my light to all the creatures shaped by Me, and tell him:
‘Why are you here, you who were forged immortal and perfect? You were destined to honor me, your Father, with humble yet glorious and powerful service. But behold, with a mighty and omnipotent arm, I have repelled you, I have made you nothing, I have rolled you like a ball across a vast plain. That place is your tomb, there you are buried with all your dreams of pride and vainglory. You have become the shame of my house! I have deposed you from your position and removed you from your place of honor.
Today, I call upon My servant, son of the High Priest; I give him your robe, I put your belt around his waist, and I transfer to him your authority as leader of creatures as the new bearer of My light that comes from My perfect character. He will be a father to all creatures. I entrust him with the key to the house of David; he will open, and no one will close; he will close, and no one will open. I will establish it as a nail in a solid place for eternity; he will become a throne of glory for his father’s house. To him will be entrusted all the glory of My house.’
‘Today,’ declares the Almighty, ‘my ancient light-bearer, who was firmly placed, has been removed, torn away, has fallen forever; everything that was hanging on it will be destroyed, for I, the Creator God, have decreed it.”
