King and Priest for ever

My North Star speaks of a mysterious Priest-King.

Melchizedek was Priest of the Most High and King of Salem (see Genesis 14:18). Melchizedek in fact was the Priest-King who blessed Abraham as the father of the nations.

Jesus is also called by my North Star Priest according to the order of Melchizedek (see Hebrews 6:20), thus both Priest and King.

But my North Star tells me of a new and final Priest-King according to the order of Melchizedek who will come before the “day of the Lord’s wrath and judgment”, thus just before Jesus’ second coming:

The Lord said to my Lord:

“Sit at my right hand until I have made your enemies the footstool of your feet”.

The Lord will spread out from Zion the sceptre of your power. Rule in the midst of your enemies!

Your people offer themselves willingly when you gather your army.

Parade of holiness, from the bosom of the dawn your youth comes to you like dew.

The Lord has sworn and will not repent:

“You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek”.

The Lord at your right hand crushes kings in the day of his wrath,

he judges peoples, he piles up corpses,

He crushes the heads of his enemies in a vast land.

He quenches his thirst at the stream along the way, and therefore he will hold his head high.

(see Psalms 110:1-7)
