THE BLACK SWAN
And I saw a sign in the heavens,
unforeseen by every human and angelic wisdom:
a Black Swan, wrapped in darkness, yet white beneath its hidden wings.
It glided over the sea of peoples, nations, and tongues,
and its voice was like thunder and caress at once.
It said: “Now the time is fulfilled,
now the lie has reached its end.
What was hidden through the ages,
what the wise did not know and the mighty concealed,
shall now be engraved in the flesh of every heart.”
And the Swan spread its wings:
a lightning bolt crossed the skies without a sound,
yet every soul was struck by light.
Not to destroy, but to reveal.
Not to terrify, but to heal.
Masks fell like dust in the wind,
thrones trembled without war,
swords melted into plowshares,
secrets long buried became the noonday light.
And I heard a Voice that had no echo,
for it was the Echo itself of every creature:
“Ended is the deception, ended is the night.
The Father has spoken, and the whole earth listens.
The last are called by name,
the broken are made whole,
the former enemies now embrace as brothers.”
And the waters of history reflected the Swan’s whiteness,
and every eye beheld, every knee bent,
every tongue confessed not by compulsion,
but by uncontainable joy.
And the day had no sunset,
for the final lightning never faded:
it remained as light within the very bones of creation.
And no power could ever darken it again.
Amen.
