Jesus was a true revolutionary in the way he chose women to broadcast His message. This method was an insult to the culture of His day. A man would never reveal himself to women, would not have made a woman a spokesman of such an important event as the resurrection of the Son of God, thereby avoiding the religious elite of that time, as if nothing had happened.
Yes, Jesus amazes me and continues to amaze me. Jesus revolutionized the known world at that time, and continues to revolutionize the world even today. It is written: “The first shall be last and the last shall be first” (Matthew19: 30). It was unheard of at the time, for women to inform the apostles of the resurrection of Jesus, and that they would be the ones to tell the whole world. This was outrageous and inconceivable at the same time, to say the least.
In the eyes of Jesus, the least, the marginalized, the sick, prostitutes, and criminals, will be the first in the kingdom of heaven if they would cling to this promise with faith. The Beatitudes were directed at them: “Blessed are they, because they are the least, but in my sight, says Jesus, they are first.” Jesus was able to value the most weak and victimized class in society … the most oppressed and abused. And still today, people who have no value in my society, are very precious in the eyes of the Creator God, He has individually given them the breath of life. For thus says the Lord of hosts: “… because who touches them, touches the apple of My eye.” (See Zechariah 2: 8 second part)
Before the second coming of His Son Jesus, in these last days, will the Creator God shock the whole world once again ignoring the elite of our times and using a few simple and humble of His fans? “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Creator God (see Zechariah 4: 6).
